The SUN has arrived so it's time for FOOTLOOSE ( :

This month we will be working with the Footloose Kit - it's so refreshing ( :

Please bring the following:
Footloose Kit (brochure, stamp set, paper packet)
Fiskars paper trimmer
scissors
adhesive
3-D foam (IF DESIRED - I didn't use any)
GLUE DOTS ( you will need them if you are using the seaside shapes)
Footloose dimensional elements (if you bought them)
Seaside Shapes (if you bought them)
Sanding Kit - Sanding Block if you have one or the rough sand paper from the kit
Mini sponge wedges or sponge daubers to shade sea animals
Pearl Paint / fan paint brush for seaside shapes
*I used dimensional element letters for my title - You can use whatever alphabet you like if you would rather stamp the title OR you could opt to use the cricut and cut letters.
**You will need 1 sheet of Heavenly Blue cardstock for the studio j layout & 1 sheet or extra scrap paper of White Daisy if you do that layout so you can stamp sea animals/shells etc

Inks:
Creme Brulee
Sorbet
Lagoon
New England Ivy
Desert Sand Marker - (you need the marker for the seaside shapes)
Bamboo Marker (seaside shapes) ** I will bring mine as well in case you don't have them

BLOCKS:
2 x 6 1/2
3 x 3
2 x 2
1 x 1
2 x 3 1/2

Photos needed:
Studio J Layout:
4 x 6 (x2) PORTRAIT
4 x 6 LANDSCAPE
3 x 3 (x2)

bonus layout:
6 x 8 LANDSCAPE
2 1/2 x 2 1/2 (x6) (this is a wallet size squared)
3 x 4 PORTRAIT

CUTTING for Studio J Layout:

Sand B&T paper cut:
2 x 12 (x2)
1 x 12
2 x 7

Wave B&T (WATCH the pattern on this - you will use part of BOTH B&T papers in the kit to cut this and the second layout)
3 x 12 with wave pattern going ACROSS (horizontal) the 12" part (this piece will go across the bottom of the LEFT page)
3 x 12 with wave pattern going across (horizontal) the 3" part (this piece will be the tall piece on the RIGHT page)

Lagoon Cardstock
7 x 5 (x2)

Heavenly Blue Cardstock
5 1/2 x 12
1 x 12
1 x 7
4 1/2 x 7

Creme Brulee Sun B&T **cut your bonus layout with this first then cut these 2 pieces)
3/8 x 12
3/8 x 7

I used dimension element letters on mine - and stamped the sea animal images on the letters using different inks to give them a cool pattern.

Sand EVERYTHING - all the cardstock I did the cross hatch sanding method - sand one direction at an angle and then turn and sand the other direction going across what you've just sanded.  Rest sand edges of - don't panic if it tears a little or curls the paper - that will add to the effect ( :
Watch as you line up the pieces on the layouts as I messed mine up / : not paying attention to that - just be sure that the left page lines match up with the right page any place the lines cross over the layout.

BONUS layout:

This is a Reflections layout if you have the book - but here are the cuts:
Wave Paper
8 1/2 x 11 with waves going across (horizontal) the 8 1/2

Heavenly Blue (to tie the 2 layouts together)
1/2 x 6
1 1/2 x 6
1/2 x 2 1/2 (x2)

White Daisy Cardstock
7 x 12

Lagoon
5 x 12
1/2 x 2 (x2) for flags
Creme Brule B&T w/sun pattern (cut this BEFORE the extra pieces on the studio j layout)
2 1/2 x 12 - if you cut this first  you will have the sun beams going across the right page
7 x 9

Zip Strip with Lagoon on it and creme brulee wave

*seahorse is colored using sponges - I inked him in creme brulee and then sponged a little sorbet on the tummy, and then lagoon on the back followed by some new england ivy.
Turtle is shaded by inking him in creme brulee and then sponging lagoon around the edges and then new england ivy.

I added images from the Relax set - if you'd like to borrow mine you are welcome to that night.

COMMENT ON LAYOUT:
So - this kit came with the wooden badge buttons to stamp on - I attempted to do this SEVERAL times and had a hard time not getting it to bleed the image - so I opted to NOT use them - you are welcome to use yours if you'd like to - I'm going to just color mine at some point and just use them w/out stamping on them
