Is it just me or do you think of John Travolta when he played Vinnie in Welcome Back Kotter? ( :
Okay - this month we ARE using the Stella paper packet - it is my FAVORITE this catalog I must admit!
Please bring the following to class:
Stella Kit (paper packet, brochure, stamp set & accessory pack)
Fiskars paper trimmer
sponge (for cocoa ink)
1 1/4 punch OR you can opt to cut your circles w/the cricut (circle 1 at 1 1/4")
**if you are making the tall cards (featured in the brochure) you will need the 8 x 3 1/2 colonial white die cut cards
**if you are making the Kraft card collection - bring your 6x6 craft cards
Extra Bohemian accessory pack if you are doing multiple pages
2 x 3 1/2
2 x 6 1/2 (if you are doing the 2nd layout)
you've got a few options here -
this is what I did:
1 - 4 x 6 LANDSCAPE(cut in half to make 2 - 3 x 4)
2 - 3 x 4 PORTRAIT
4 - 3 x 3
1 - 2 1/2 x 3 LANDSCAPE
3 - 3 x 3
I also added sparkles and opaques.
This is a new pattern to us ( :
8 x 2 & 2 1/4 x 2 out of the Lagoon/Olive damask B&T
1/2 x 8 & 1/2 x 2 1/2 out of the olive shingles B&T
the stems of the tulips are from the zip strip - you will want to trim them to be skinnier
then the word strip should be cut to fit your sentiment and then reach behind the tulips.
**to stamp the line across the top - I would recommend using a pencil to mark the top of your card 3/4" down - you will then stamp that image so that the middle of it straddles the pencil line you've made - this will keep your line straight.
Sponge everything w/ cocoa ink.
when you are gluing the flap area - be sure to glue all the way to the edge of the flap so that when you cut your B&T paper you are laying on top of it that it will be secure - I turned the card over to trim the extra off the free edge and then used my finishing files to clean that up and then sponged.
2 1/4 x 8 Lagoon B&T
2 x 3 1/2 Lagoon cardstock
1 x 8 Sunset cardstock
1 x 8 colonial white - you will stamp the chair top on this to make the boarder
2 x 3 1/2 colonial white for chair stamp
2 3/4 x 1 1/2 Lagoon cardstock
2 7/8 x 1 5/8 Colonial White cardstock
Take the Lagoon cardstock that is meant for the flap - line one edge along the diecut area and trace the diecut line w/a pencil - cut that and then sponge and attach so that you have a shadow of the colonial white showing.
Take a 6x6 card - with the scalloped edge to your LEFT - cut the far right 6x6 flap off the card base - this should leave you with the scalloped edge attached to another 6x6 piece - and then take the 6x6 piece you've cut off and cut it in half to be 2 - 3 x 6 pieces which you will fold in half to create 2 - 3x3 cards.
The left over piece w/the scalloped edge - fold the 6x6 piece in half and create a 3 x 6 card w/the scalloped edge.
2 5/8 x 2 5/8 of a B&T paper
2 3/4 x 2 3/4 coordination cardstock (I used black here)
3/4 x 3 of a B&T paper
I have the circle 1 from the cricut cut at 1 3/4
**I used the new Card Word Puzzle set for the sentiments and the flower - I stamped the flower from that set onto B&T paper and cut it out - same with the leaves. - quick and easy! Add a few opaques and your good to go!
3 x 6 scalloped edge card:
2 5/8 x 5 3/4 B&T paper
2 3/4 x 5 7/8 Cardstock - I used black
1 1/8 x 5 3/4 B&T paper
1 1/4 x 5 7/8 Cardtock
3/4 x 6 B&T
1 3/4 circle cut from cricut - circle 1
Flower again stamped on B&T paper and cut out - simple!!
Be sure when you glue the circle on the page to ONLY put glue on 1/2 of the back so that it still opens ( :
